TrustRank - Alpha Service Complete; A Look Inside The Beta Service; Radio Show In The Works!

To all those who purchased the TrustRank beta service for $400 per TR report and recommended authority/trusted links, you should have it in your inbox. If you didn’t get it, please email me on my aojon.com email account. Be sure to include the PayPal transaction ID, along with the domain and topics/niches. I had a few bounces, so make sure you whitelist my email address. I’ll be sure to get it to you this weekend.

After AD:TECH NY next week, I’ll be launching the next phase  in the TrustRank service. It will be more of an a la carte type of service. One of the things to look forward to will be not only recommendations, but actual link work done for clients. It’s a semi-automated process, meaning, since I can’t fully automate it without sharing the information with a programmer, which I refuse to do, I’ll be hand picking the domains for the clients, and having them fed into an older custom app I found in my arsenal from a little under a year ago. It will do the job just fine and will allow you to sit back and get links without doing the work yourself. It should go a lot faster, and produce some great results. I’ve already tested it out for some friends for free, and on some of my newly acquired domains. So far, it’s worked 100% of the time, so hopefully it will stay that way without any issues.

I had some clients who submitted domains and topics/niches for other countries and languages, and surprisingly, this service can work for just about anything and any language. There was even a casino and pharma client, and at first I didn’t think there would be all that many results, and that I would have to refund them, but to my surprise, it actually produced some really solid results.

I thought that the most interesting part of this first service was that during the recent PageRank change, almost none of the results via TR were changed, or downgraded rather. Many of the results actually shot up a few notches. I had to change a few people’s TR scores because they went up a lot quicker than usual, so it was as if Google was saying “alright, your PageRank is too high, so let’s take some away, but we’ll compensate you with more trust/authority”. Not sure who decided that on Google’s side, but whatever, no complaints on this side of the fence I’m sure.

Another interesting part was seeing empty domains, like newly expired/deleted ones, jump a few points in TrustRank (nothing to brag about, still pretty damn low), but retained their PageRank even though when I ran it through some “very accurate PR testing tools” they appeared to be fake PR. I still don’t understand that, and quite frankly, I’m not going to even bother trying to understand it, because PageRank has no effect on anything except if you’re selling links on your site to people who still believe that PageRank matters (aka - 98% of the SEO industry and webmasters).

I’ll be at AD:TECH NY from November 4th-7th, so don’t expect any responses from me or blog posts either. We don’t have a booth for WickedFire either, but there may be a meet up point on the 5th. Check WickedFire.com for more details. I didn’t plan anything personally, but we did it last year at Copeac’s booth, and it was fun to finally meet so many of the members. Plus it made Copeac look like an uber popular booth, haha! No I’m kidding, they are great people and always have a ton of foot traffic show up.

That’s all for now. Catch ya on the flip side.

Oh yeah… There’s a radio show in the works. It won’t be anything like that one pilot episode I did almost 2 years ago either. We are going for a more quality in content but with a very sarcastic/humor focused program. We’re still debating on whom we will be hosting/streaming with. The choices right now are - WebmasterRadio, DI.fm/SKY.fm, or hosting/streaming it ourselves.  One of my good pals from my brief college and fraternity stint does funny voice-over work, and can mimic just about every great character voice I know of, so we plan on using his talents for some intro and commercial work. I really want to have a live show too, so people can call in and voice their opinion. More on this after AD:TECH as we are still working out the details.

$1M Over A Weekend Answer!

Alright kids.. so you’ve been waiting for the answer to the $1M over the weekend post I made a while back, well, I think it’s been enough of a wait, but I have to ask you to wait one more day, because instead of releasing the information here, I’m going to be a guest on WebmasterRadio.fm’s show Good Karma. Kinda ironic too eh? Someone like myself who doesn’t seem to give a shit about karma on a show labeled good karma? Ha!!

I’ll also be giving away FREE passes to Affiliate Summit East in Miami (July 8th-10th 2007). If you’re not a member of WickedFire, and just been a lurker, you best get your ass to the registration, because the VIP WickedFire party sponsored by Copeac is going to be fucking insane. It’s going to be in a mansion on a private island. The only way to get to it is via a yacht we are renting. Lots of free food, booze, music (private DJ), hot women, and networking. All the must-have ingredients for a great party!!

So tune in live tomorrow at 4pm EST at www.webmasterradio.fm for the Good Karma show with Greg Niland and me! We’ll be throwing it down and having a really fun time. Not sure if we are going to be giving out many tips, but if you can come up with some good ideas or questions for the show in their live IRC channel, you get a free pass to Affiliate Summit East 2007 courtesy of WickedFire.com. Not a bad deal!

This is going to be funnnnnn!!

Major New Developments

I have given this a lot of thought over the last 24 hours, and I’ve decided to end my radio show. It may come as a surprise to a lot of you readers and fans of the first pilot episode, but the reason for my decisions is because I have been lagging on producing episodes, and I feel as if I’ve failed any fans of the show or potential listeners. I know the idea is awesome, and it would do wonders for the blog if I would continue it, but honestly, it takes up too much time from my day, and I’m just not ready to devote so much time for one thing. Although it was a really fun experience until now, I would much rather put my focus on two major projects for webmasters. The blog, and the new forum.

Which leads me to the 2nd major development. Wickedfire.com launched yesterday, and although I wasn’t expecting too many people to join it and even post much it totally exceeded every expectation I had. I am happy to report that within the first 24 hours of launching we had over 100 new users join, over 2,000 posts, and over 100 new threads. I’m in complete shock too. I had no idea how active a forum could be, or overactive even. I really didn’t think there were that many webmasters out there who wanted to just hang out and shoot the shit with one another, but I guess now that there is an outlet for you guys and girls to just kick back and have some fun during your day that it’s a good thing already.

I’ve decided to setup a few contests that will reward winners with custom made sites made by my team of developers. All of the sites awarded will be overseen by me, personally. The winners will also be required to sign an agreement contract and an NDA, but, they are getting themselves some awesome new niche built sites specifically for them and no one else. These are the exact sites I have been making for the last few months. Although traffic is something they’ll have to bring on for themselves, I can assure you that the ease of use of these sites have no comparison to anything else around. I can sell them if I want, but where’s the fun in that?

WickedFire will also have an apparel line which will not be for sale. The only way to get your hands on them is to win a contest or be awarded them. I am lucky enough to have a family member who owns an apparel manufacturing business, so I can get really great quality items at very cheap rates. Lucky me! But seriously, I think it would be cool if people wore them at conferences and industry parties. I’m also going to launch a ladies line for any of the females out there who want them, because there are so few of you, there will be a unique design to them so you can feel cooler than the guys.

That’s it for now, gotta get back to the forum to keep tabs on everything for the time being, or until I start adding mods. If you have a lot of forum experience, you can shoot me an email with your forum track record to be considered for a mod position. Most mods will be via invite only, and mod powers are very limited so that we can keep a very “freedom” oriented forum concept alive. Only those who truly piss people off will be banned or punished. Almost everything is fair game on there too, which I think is cool.

I’ll be launching the premium section of the forum in the future, maybe a month or two from now, after we hit 1,000 members. I think without the focus of the radio show I can direct a lot more focus on what the premium forum section will be like. I have a ton of great ideas to really help people out. Some of them include a guarantee that every user on there will make at least $1,000 within the month. I don’t care who you are, or how stupid you are, or how little amount of money you have at your disposal. I will make sure and be there for support to prove that you can do it. This is the ultimate ebook killer too. Because they are always making false claims about their proven systems and all that bullshit, with no real support, well, that’s all about to change. So look out for it.

Again, thank you to everyone who has joined the forum. It’s extremely active, and there is a very minimal delay from posting something to getting a response back. Even the big forums don’t have that! Also, the forum is on it’s own dedicated box, so it’s very fast and can handle a truly shitload of users at any given time, and if things do start slowing down, I’ll add another box for load balancing. Keeping everything super fast is a big priority of mine for this.

That’s all for now.. keep pluggin’ away boys and girls.

Pilot Radio Show Episode Launched!!

Well, I’ve finally done it. The first pilot episode of the radio show has been launched.. Now before you get all excited, I just want to let everyone know that the topics are mostly about current news in the webmaster industry. There are a few hidden tips, but the point of this episode was to try out some different ideas and formats. The goal is actually to have a live radio show broadcast, with a podcast and archive section after the show is done. I would LOVE to have a call in feature too, where webmasters/affiliates can call into the show and ask us questions or just say hi to our guests.

I know there are a lot of you that have been waiting for me to launch this so PLEASE post your comments and feedback about it. All criticism is accepted as usual.

Find the Pilot Episode Here.

I’ve also set up a podcast link too.

I’ll be adding the flash player onto my site very soon, but I figured I’d get the episode up first so everyone can have a listen.
