Hey everyone. I know I know, I’ve been lacking with new posts here. I actually have a really good designer working on the revamping of this place for me. He’s going to be making what I hope to be a sweet new layout so I can integrate ads and other crap here. Probably pictures and video from the WickedFire private party at the Bellagio at ASW. I don’t want to waste time guessing when the new design and the ads will come about, so the only update I’ll write about will take place AFTER it’s done, up and running.
As the title says, free keywords. I got an email today from Looksmart alerting me on some heavy hitter health related keywords that are forecasted by HitWise to get a lot of searches and clicks over the upcoming early months of Q1 2007, so if you’re a ppc arbitrager, this can mean big bucks for you. I’m sure everyone has heard by now and read above that WickedFire will be showing some representation at the Affiliate Summit West conference on Jan 21-23 2007 at Ballys in good ‘ol family friendly Las Vegas. Although we won’t have a booth this year, we do have a Vendor Showcase table where people can swing by and pickup some free shit from us. Either a tshirt, a flyer, or a VIP pass to the WickedFire & Copeac Private Party at the Bellagio on Monday night from 6pm-9pm. It’s a nice trendy lounge inside the decked out Bellagio called Caramel Lounge, should be a lot of fun, and as usual, in true WF fashion, I don’t think you’ll want to miss this. It’s guaranteed not to be a sausage fest either, so all of you guys who have never seen a super hot half naked chick in person before, this is probably a party you’ll want to attend. The only requirements is that you need to be a WickedFire member. The event is being sponsored by our pals over at Copeac/Intermark, so since they are fronting the funds they’ve asked that only WF members attend, and no reps from other networks allowed. Sorry, thems the rules and I’m not one to be arguing with about it. Take it up with Mike from Copeac if you have an issue.
Last bit of news, Coastal Synergy LLC, WickedFire’s parent company is in the process of acquiring a major media brand and web property within our industry. I can’t get into details just yet, but when the deal is done, we’ll be making our announcement about it. This should increase not only the company’s overall value by millions of dollars more, but will also give WickedFire the ability to continue it’s drive for a larger marketshare percentage of the industry’s media outlets. Woohoo on that! We’re trying to transform the ever so young WickedFire (only six months old now!) into more than just a forum, but a place where both networks and affiliates can come for resources and information for free, forever! It really is all coming together now, and we’re still in talks with other outlets to expand our brand and space so to offer as much free content to people within the industry as possible. Wow, I feel like a real grownup writing like that!
If you’re going to be at ASW, be sure to swing by our table at the vendor showcase bit on Sunday Jan 21st at table #15. We’ll probably be the really loud table with lots of people hanging out around it and being asked to “keep moving” by the people behind them. Throughout the entire show we’ll be giving away free WickedFire tshirts to WF members only, so if you want one, your ass had better signup at WF before the show.
I’m looking forward to the speaking panel with Jeremy “Shoemoney” and Andrew Johnson on Monday Jan 22nd at 3:30pm-4:30pm for the Affiliate Track session. It’s not going to be your typical presentation saturated session either, we are doing a strictly live Q&A from the audience and expect a few hundred people to show up. So if you’re a full conference hall pass holder and you have some serious questions that you can’t seem to find the answer to anywhere else, then come inside and ask away. You may want to arrive a bit early for better seating, as I was told by a few ASW staffers that it’s one of the most talked about sessions of the conference. Greeeeat.. The one time I speak, and now it’s going to be in front of a bajillion people. But really, we’re all psyched for it. It’s going to be in the “Classroom B (silver)” area. I’m sure that will mean a lot more when we are already there.
