Quick Updates: Domaining Addiction; TrustRank Scoring Links

Update #1 -

Hello. My name is Jon, and I’m an addict. Addicted to domaining that is. Un-fucking-believable.

Four or five weeks ago, I was at 13,000′ish, two weeks ago, I had a little over 15,000 domains. This week, I’m at 17,622!!! What the hell is wrong with me!?!? I know you wise asses are saying “a lot”. You’re right. Do you have any idea how much that is in annual registration fees? I’ll tell you. It comes out to around $130,000 PER YEAR! Fuck. That’s just on costs/fees. I think there may be something wrong with me. But it’s soooooo much fun! I seriously need to sell some of them off. I’ve also been trying to come up with a better idea to monetize all of them, or at least automate the process of it and applying it to the old and new ones, so I can keep my acquisitions up and don’t have to sell them until they are at least 100x more valuable than when I first bought them. This will take lots more thinking, but until then, I’ll keep everyone updated until I reach the 20,000 and 25,000 domain mark, and I’m not even my own private registrar yet! Scary!

Update #2 -

I’ve been doing some free TrustRank scoring and linking suggestions for some friends, mostly bloggers and SEO pals, just to prove that I’m not making any of it up. Also I’m doing it so they can review it and tell me what they think, maybe give me some feedback or suggestions on pricing or ways to market this.

I’ve been in a serious rut trying to come up with a solid way to do this as a service seperate from WickedFire. Again, if you have no idea what I’m even talking about, maybe you should read some of my previous blog posts. They aren’t tough to find considering I rarely update here.

I’ll make the announcement by Monday. I’m only going to do 10 or 20 domains in total for the first round, and then jack the price up and do it for a second and final round of people, and then just go private label to SEO firms.

I swear I’m not being an ebook douchebag about it and doing a sales pitch thing. The only reason I’m doing two paid rounds of this service is because I want people to see how full of shit Google is, and how, in spite of what many SEO “experts” tell you on their forums and blogs, they have no fucking idea what they are talking about. Well, maybe that’s too harsh, maybe they do have some idea, but for the most part, it’s all speculation, no one has ever had confirmation before, and it shows now.

I’d also like to add that Google is evil. VERY evil. But brilliant too.

Enough for now, lots more to come later.

    Just a question Jon…

I like this idea of using domains for trust ranking your main sites, and I do it with SOME domains, and when you are at 10K - 100K domain range, how do take care of the IP of each domain… I mean 10 thousand IBL from one IP? or at most say 100 C class IP….. DO you have any secret regarding that, or you don’t believe the C Class bullshit… I mean there is no proof, but it won’t be difficult for google to track IP right?

If I can get to have multiple IPs in an economic way, I would also go ahead and buy up domains just the way you do :)

The multiple IP thing is total bullshit man. Has been for a while. Although I wasn’t quite sure it was total crap until the Spring 2007 when I tried some tests on theories and NOTHING was different in terms of where it was hosted or spaced. Just another Google SEO myth really. If you want multiple IP’s, get multiple IP’s. Do you really need them? No.

I know.. I wish I was earlier to the domain game party, but as you can see, better late than never. And yes, the porn and mortgage leads cash made me super lazy and blinded. Domaining is DEFINITELY where the cash is before, now, and in the future. It’s just too damn easy not to touch.

Anyone wanna put bets on how many ebook fuckers are reading this and will launch a domaining get rich quick system/ebook within 3 months? I’ll bet a few!

Good to hear that from you :)
Not in your scale, but I am also buying up a lot of domain, but more for the link equity, since I am no good at domaining, and have overpaid for many domain. But I like to have control over my links :) That is why i was concerned about the IPs

Hey Jon, my first post here, but i’ve been following this blog for a while now.

I’d love to get into the domaining industry myself, but my 200 domains is plenty for me… for now! :| I have the habit of thinking of an idea, then buying a domain and then sorta leaving it to rot but ah well.

Just to confirm, when you were talking about multiple IP’s were you talking about the trustrank? or your domain addiction?

My own research has told me that, while google doesn’t really mind about multiple websites on the same IP they DO clamp down fucking hard on multiple websites with very similar (or dupe) content on the same IP address, or simply give the additional websites a lower weighting than the authority domain on the same IP.
