Forum - I’m going to choose a logo for the forum tomorrow. Already purchased a brand new server for it, and have the vbulletin license ready to go. Got a dedicated server and forum admin on the job now, which rocks, because I absolutely blow at doing anything too technical. Hopefully he’ll be able to get everything up and running as soon as the server is ready to go. Included in the forum is the much anticipated Premium section, and although it’s going to be a paid option, I can assure you it will be well worth it. When the forum launches I’ll list all of the benefits it has. The free section should also be very good, so don’t think that you are missing out by not being in the Premium section. I’ve invited some very well known people in the industry to become mentors and mods. I’ll also be running some contests on the forum, so look out for those, because the prizes are going to be well awesome.
Radio show - Matt has been MIA for the last few days, so hopefully he’ll come around soon. I had to remove the radio episode mp3’s because we were switching servers. I’ll be adding it to the new server anyhow, so wait a day or two for that to be setup. If Matt doesn’t come around soon, then I’ll be co-hosting the show with Andrew Johnson and Shawn WEEKS (see, I can get it right!). Like stated in previous posts, I should have three episodes recorded shortly for everyone’s listening pleasures, and blah blah blah.
The radio show has been a HUGE success so far, just from that shitty audio pilot episode. It registered over SIX THOUSAND unique downloads!! Unreal guys, seriously. I can’t wait to launch the other episodes and see what that brings in. Hopefully 6,000 of you will also register at the forum and shoot the shit with us over there. I also appreciate all of the feedback from the show. So far one one guy had a real complaint over the content itself, which ended up in a heated debate, which is fine. But overall the biggest complaint was the audio quality (which is going to be changed by a pro for each episode), and the breaks in the mp3 itself. Both are completely managable too. I had TONS of emails from everyone complimenting me on the show, saying it was entertaining and informative. I know our news topics sucked, but remember, we didn’t plan the show at all, just kinda winged the whole thing about 30 seconds before the show. I thought we did a pretty damn good job for being the amateurs in radio that we are. I’m looking forward to more episodes and having lots of fun with them too.
